*rinnos

adj

Meaning

  1. fast

Etymology / origin

From Proto-Indo-European *h₃reyH-, but the source of the geminate -nn- is obscure. The easiest way to account for it is to presume that *-nós was suffixed to the present plural stem of a nasal present *h₃ri-né-H-ti.

  1. *h₃reyH-(ine-pro)
  2. rinnos (Proto-Celtic)
  3. Relations: der
